Designed by the Cuban architect Manuel José Carrerá Machado and located on the Caribbean beach, this luxurious hotel offers a semi-Olympic outdoor swimming pool, elegant colonial architecture, a gym and spa. Massage sessions and diving trips can be booked. WiFi is free. Caribe Hotel is surrounded by extensive tropical gardens, and has 5 star facilities and a lavish lobby with polished marble floors and impressive chandeliers. Hotel Caribe has air-conditioned rooms with garden views. There are work desks and cable TV. Rooms have wood furnishings and white polished floors. A breakfast buffet with tropical fruits and Colombian coffee is served daily. The hotel has 3 restaurants, one of which offers gourmet specialties of regional cuisine. After dinner drinks can be enjoyed by the pool. Caribe is 3 km from Cartagena’s Gold Museum. The tour desk can provide car rental and currency exchange services. There is an on-site ATM machine. Shuttles to Rafael Nuñez International Airport, 10 minutes away, can be arranged. In accordance with Colombian tax legislation, foreign citizens and Colombian citizens not residing in the country will be exempt from paying 19% VAT.
