Description

Shanghai Hengshan Garden Hotel is located on the oriental "Champs Elysees" which is the laudatory name of Hengshan road. Along the sycamore trees, the hotel is surrounded by various cafés, bars, shops, gardens and villas. Both ends of the green pedestrian path extend to the international tourist shopping area - Xujiahui and Huaihai Road tourist district. The hotel is located in the bustling dining, shopping, and entertainment gathering area of Shencheng, which guest can walking distance to reach Shanghai Hengfu Historical Conservation Area. The Picardie Building was first built in the last century. It was invested and built by China Construction Real Estate Company, subsidiary of the French merchant Shanghai Wanguo Savings Association, and designed by French merchant Minuti Architectural Technology Art Firm. The building is an excellent historical building and the municipal cultural relic protection unit in Shanghai, and also the landmark hotel with cultural characteristics. At the end of 2020, Hengshan Hotel launched its fifth renovation, striving to maximize the restoration of the historic building's original appearance. Now, this 89-year-old building has opened its walls and merged into the sycamore trees on Hengshan Road and is officially renamed as Shanghai Hengshan Garden Hotel. In addition to newly added catering and conference facilities, the Picardie building is more reflected in the restoration of architectural details and style atmosphere. It extensively utilizes the classic ARTDECO (Art Deco design) style, pointer elevators, retro wooden floors, restored balcony railings, French steel windows with limiters, and retro modern material matching in color. The guest rooms strive to replicate the architectural details of 1930s apartments, and infused with modern craftsmanship to enhance the quality. The Executive Building has total 22 floors, with more than 200 rooms, also equipped with 4 restaurants and bars and 1 Pastry Store. The banquet hall located on the second floor has an area of 575 square meters which equipped with the central stage and large LED display screen, and can be separated into 3 individual soundproof banquet halls. There are 10 multi-functional meeting rooms with different sizes in surrounding. The hotel also has large-scale and well-equipped fitness center that can meet with the guests' exercise needs, to create the comfortable and kindly check-in atmosphere. The hotel has scenic garden covering an area of nearly 10,000 square meters, allow both in house and dining guests to closely enjoy the rare view of the garden in the city center. Half are Western style lawns, half are Chinese traditional style which include small bridge over the flowing water in the garden, honored as 4A scenic landscape elegant gardens, with the water pavilions with Eastern charm, the Western style garden paths, to create the wonderful and mutual radiance reflection of Chinese and Western elements. The garden can be used for guests to enjoy the afternoon tea, venue for romantic lawn weddings, and various outdoor activities. The hotel has also carefully created an exclusive world for children to play around while parents can enjoy the garden afternoon tea, overall atmosphere is the pleasant and harmonious scene.
