It is the only hotel in San José declared by the government as a historical and architectural monument. The hotel is affiliated through a franchise arrangement with Hilton Worldwide under the brand Hilton Curio Collection. The hotel is within 5 minutes’ walk of San José Cathedral and the National Theatre. The hotel building has been recognised as a site of architectural interest.
